Arch Contouring & Forming Plier (Wide Long)

Uniquely designed this wide arch former is manufactured with a longer and wider beak. There is a gentle curvature on the radius of the beak and can be used to contour an arch on wire up to .036". The wider gradual curve is excellent for introducing a reverse curve to an archwire.

• The outside edges are beveled creating a smooth arch without nicking the wire.
• The plier measures approx. 8.5 mm wide along with a smooth inside working surface.
• Manufactured with a gentle curvature offers the ability to create a reverse curve in the arch wire along with contouring an arch.
• One side if the beak contains an upper arch that fits into a concave pocket which creates the arch.
• Recommended for round and rectangular wire up to .036" diameter.
• Arch shape can be larger or smaller and this is determined by the amount of pressure applied during operation.
• Smooth inside beaks help eliminate torque in the wire when contouring the arch.
