Flush Cut and Hold Distal End Cutter (Long Handle)

Orthopli's long handle end cutter creates easy access for cutting in the posterior region. By using a longer handle it allows the operator to reach the instrument in a patient's mouth offering you more visible access and more comfort to the patient. Flush distal end cutters permit the operator to cut and hold archwire flush to the buccal tube leaving no protrusions which will irritate the patient. At the same time the built in holding spring will hold the cut piece of wire preventing the wire from flying into tissue. Capable of cutting arch wire up to .025" diameter and .021" x .028" rectangular.

• Designed to cut and hold the excess arch wire flush to the buccal tube leaving no protrusions of arch wire that will irritate the patient.
• Manufactured on a long handle box joint forging measuring approximately 5 3/4" in total length.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert for ease during cutting and extends the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• The cutting edge hits against a flat surface which reduces stress and vibration of the arch wire during cutting which provides more comfort to the patient.
• The cutting edge being located toward the base of the tip allows the operator to cut flush to the buccal tube.
• Long handle offers easy posterior access along with good visibility during use.
• Requires less force when cutting the arch wire. (Long handle creates more cutting force)
• The cutting edge cuts flush to the buccal tube leaving no protrusions of wire to irritate the patient.
• Built into the instruments is a stainless steel holding spring which is located above the cutting edge and holds the cut piece of wire.
• Recommended for braided wire, twist wire, round and rectangular wire up to .025" diameter or .021" x .028" rectangular.
