Flush Cut and Hold Distal End Cutter (Medium Handle)

The medium handle end cutter is the newest design plier forging and is growing in popularity. This instrument is slightly smaller than out standard handle and manufactured with a smaller head not feeling bulky or large. It permits the operator to cut and hold the excess arch wire flush to the buccal tube leaving no protrusions which will irritate the patient. At the same time the built in holding spring will hold the cut piece of wire preventing the wire from flying into tissue. Capable of cutting all arch wires up to .025" diameter and .021" x .028" rectangular.

• Manufactured on a medium handle forging measuring approximately 4 ¾" in total length.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert which increases the strength and extends the life of the cutting edge.
• The cutting edge hits against a flat surface which reduces stress and vibration of the arch wire during cutting which provides more comfort to the patient.
• The cutting edge being located toward the base of the tip allows the operator to cut flush to the buccal tube.
• Built into the instruments is a stainless steel holding spring which is located above the cutting edge and holds the cut piece of wire.
• Recommended for braided wire, twist wire, round and rectangular wire up to .025" diameter or .021" x .028" rectangular.
