This multipurpose lab instrument is actually three pliers in one for forming retainers. The front barrel is used just like a bird beak; the second barrel will give large loops keeping retainers looking uniform. Toward the rear of the beak we have placed an arch-contouring section to contour and make an arch. When needing to produce retainers, this is an excellent choice for it will keep all wire on the same plain and loops uniform.
- The front barrel measures 1.75 mm (.070") diameter and is capable of bending lab wire up to .036" diameter.
- The front barrel creates a tight helix, simple stops and eyehooks for the acrylic.
- The second barrel measures 3.75 mm (.150") diameter and creates uniform loops and keeps them on the same plain.
- Toward the rear of the beak is an arch contouring section that can create or reshape any retainer arch.
- This instrument is three pliers in one eliminating the need to keep switching pliers during use.
- Recommended on lab wire up to .036" diameter.
- Hardened steel inserted tips are soldered at the tip to increase the strength of the instrument and help eliminate slippage when forming or bending wire.
- All stainless steel box joint construction accommodated by a hardened steel inserted tip for strength.
