Uniquely designed Orthopli has incorporated a 15° offset angled beak on this standard handle (5 1/8") ligature cutter. The angled beaks offer increased visibility during use in the anterior and posterior region. It is capable of cutting all dead soft ligature wire and ligature wire twist. To increase the life of the instruments only use the top ½ of the cutting edge for ligature wire only.
- Manufactured on a standard handle measuring 5 1/8" in length along with a stainless steel forging.
- Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel inserted tip which increases the strength and extends the sharpness of the cutting edge.
- Beaks are machined with a diamond wheel to achieve tip alignment to receive the closest cut.
- From a side view the beak is angled at 15° offset and the shape of the beak is tapered to its finest point.
- Capable of cutting all dead soft ligature wire along with ligature twist ties at the tip.
- The cutting edge is hand crafted with a specially designed double anvil cutting edge.
- It is recommended to use this instrument for the cutting of ligature wire only.
