Posterior Band Remover (Short Lower Beak)

Cleverly designed, the lower beak of this band remover is shorter in length and will bypass the upper cushion pad. During use it will allow the operator to lift and remove the band without the band and the lower beak hitting the pad. Hardened inserts are placed on the lower beak to allow easy band removal and eliminate slippage without patient discomfort. Tapered and inserted beaks allow the operator to utilize both sides to remove bands in the posterior region where straight on access is difficult. The upper beak has a replaceable cushion pad that is dry heat sterilizable and auto-clavable.

• The short lower beak will bypass the pad when in the closed position.
• During use the band can be removed without the band hitting the pad.
• Lower beak is manufactured with a hardened steel insert to eliminate slippage during use and extend the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• Lower beak is tapered on the sides and ground down to a small flat tip.
• The taper on the sides allow the operator to remove bands by using the side of the instrument when cheek expansion is limited.
• Upper beak has a replacement cushion tip (catalog # 097-T)
• Cushion tips are a force fit and are dry heat sterilizable and auto-clavable.
