Shear Distal End Cutter (Long Handle-Rolled Body)

One of Orthopli's most popular choices of shear distal end cutters, offering all the benefits of a long handle along with a rolled body and rolled tip. The rolled body and tip create a sleek and more slender instrument. This end cutter creates easy access for cutting in the posterior region. By constructing a longer handle it allows the operator to reach the instrument in an adult patient's mouth when distal end cutting giving you more visible access and more comfort to the patient. This shear distal end cutter holds the cut distal wire preventing the wire from flying into tissue.

• Manufactured on an all stainless steel box joint rolled body - long handle forging measuring approximately 5 ¾" in total length.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert for ease during cutting and also extend the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• The cutting occurs as two pieces of hardened steel cross each other shearing and cutting off the excess arch wire.
• After cutting the buccal wire the upper safety hold portion of the tip will hold the cut piece of wire.
• The lower beak is machined to its thinnest point allowing a close buccal tube cut.
• Machined rolled body and tip create a sleek and more slender body and tip.
• Long handle offers easy posterior access along with good visibility during use.
• Requires less force when cutting the arch wire.
