Shear Distal End Cutter (Medium Handle)

Orthopli Corporation newest handle size this medium handle size for doctors with a preference of a slimmer smaller handle. The medium handle and body along with a small tip maintains its strength for cutting arch wire up to .025" diameter and .021 x.028" rectangular archwire with little force. Assistant's feel very comfortable using this end cutter because it fits nicely in their hand without a bulky feeling. Designed to cut and hold the excess wire extending out of the buccal tube. It will hold the cut pieces of wire with a built in safety hold design preventing the wire from flying into the tissue.

• Manufactured on an all stainless steel box joint Medium handle forging measuring approximately 4 ¾" in total length.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert for ease during cutting and also extend the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• The cutting occurs as two pieces of hardened steel cross each other shearing and cutting off the excess arch wire.
• After cutting the buccal wire the upper safety hold portion of the tip will hold the cut piece of wire.
• The lower beak is machined to its thinnest point allowing a close buccal tube cut.
• Recommended for braided wire, twist wire, round and rectangular wire up to .025" diameter and .021" x .028" rectangular.
