Shear Distal End Cutter (Slim Long Handle)

This slim long handle is a popular choice shear distal end cutter for many assistants. The smaller head and thin handle offers easy access for cutting in the poster region. The slim long handle keeps the operators hand away from the patient's mouth when cutting offering excellent visibility. This shear distal end cutter with safety hold will cut and hold the excess wire extending out of the buccal tube. The instrument is designed to hold the cut piece of wire preventing it from flying into the tissue.

• Manufactured on an all stainless steel box joint slim long handle forging measuring approximately 5 ¾" in total length.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert for ease during cutting and also extend the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• Slim long handle offers easy posterior access along with good visibility during use.
• The cutting occurs as two pieces of hardened steel cross each other shearing and cutting off the excess arch wire.
• After cutting the buccal wire the upper safety hold portion of the tip will hold the cut piece of wire.
• The lower beak is machined to its thinnest point allowing a close buccal tube cut.
• Recommended for braided wire, twist wire, round and rectangular wire up to .022" diameter and .019" x .025" rectangular.
