Stop Plier - “V” Bend

One of Orthopli's most popular specialty instruments and also a time saver when utilized chair side. This instrument will create a 1 millimeter V-Bend or stop in an arch wire with one simple squeeze. If an archwire is shifting simply place a V-Stop on the archwire to stop it from moving. If a small piece of wire is sticking out of a buccal tube irritating the patient you can place a V-Bend stop anywhere on the archwire to shorten the wire to pull the archwire in. V-Bend stops are achieved as an intraoral adjustment without removing the arch wire on both stainless steel and nickel titanium wire.

• Creates a one millimeter high V-Bend stop on the archwire chair side intraorally (do not remove the archwire).
• Works on both stainless steel and nickel titanium archwires round and rectangular up to .025".
• Operator can give one simple squeeze of the instrument on the arch wire to create the V-Bend stop.
• The V-Bend stop pulls ½ mm of archwire mesial-distal keeping the wire on the same plain.
• V-Bend stop eliminates an archwire from shifting.
• Can be used to shorten an archwire sticking out of the buckle tube to eliminate discomfort to the patient.
• The beak is machined with a hardened inserted steel tip for added strength eliminating any slippage during use.
