Optical Plier Modified (Single Barrel)

Excellent multipurpose instrument. Due to its design, it can be utilized as a small fine beak three prong plier, optical plier and a Tweed loop forming plier. The single round barrel machined at the tip forms helixes and bends without introducing torque to the archwire. It can also be used for making intraoral adjustments in the mouth. Both beaks are manufactured with hardened inserts to help eliminate slippage during use which also creates a stronger longer lasting instrument.

• One single barrel is milled at the tip of the round side of the beak and measures .030" diameter.
• The barrel works for bending helixes and loops without introducing torque to an archwire.
• The round beak measures 5/8" long and round the whole length of the beak.
• Being a single barrel, it adds to the strength of the tip and can be used for intraoral adjustments.
• Hardened steel inserted tips are soldered at the tip to increase the strength of the instrument and help eliminate slippage when forming or bending wire.
• The lower beak is concaved (grooved) and allows the round beak to position into the groove.
• All stainless steel box joint construction accommodated by a hardened steel inserted tip for strength.
