Tweed Loop Forming Plier – (Tweed Course Design)

This custom design Tweed Loop Forming Plier is used by the Tweed Foundation group for many years. In most cases it replaces the traditional 3-barrel Tweed loop forming plier. The round beak is extremely tapered to a fine point. The lower beak is concaved along with a thin parallel edge for tight bends and helixes. Both beaks are manufactured with hardened steel inserts to help eliminate slippage during use which also creates a stronger longer lasting instrument.

• This instrument is a custom design that is presently used by the Tweed Foundation.
• The round beak is extremely tapered; the radius measures .025" in diameter at the tip.
• The lower beak is concaved (grooved allowing the round beak to position and fit into the groove).
• The sides of the concaved beaks are parallel which help form and create tight bends.
• Hardened steel inserted tips are soldered at the beak to increase the strength of the instrument and help eliminate slippage when forming or bending wire.
• Recommended for round wire up to .025" and rectangular wire up to .021" X .028".
• All stainless steel box joint construction accommodated by a hardened steel inserted tip for strength.
