Band Remover (Lap Joint)

Manufactured on a lap joint forging and measures approximately ½" shorter than the traditional Orthopli Box joint. The joint operates without washers or shims creating a smooth operation during use. Designed with a hardened steel insert on the lower beak ensuring a sharp edge. The sides of the lower beak are tapered along a sharp edge. Both the sides (front and back) can be used for band removal allowing for easy posterior access.

• Lower beak is manufactured with a hardened steel insert to ensure a longer lasting sharp edge.
• The lower portion of the tip meets in the center of the replacement pad.
• Lower beak is tapered on the sides and ground down to a small flat tip.
• The taper on the sides allows the operator to remove bands by using the side of the instrument when cheek expansion is limited.
• Upper beak has a replacement cushion tip (catalog # 097-T)
• Cushion tips are force fit and are dry heat sterilizable and autoclavable.
