Orthopli has been manufacturing this cleverly designed crown Herbst Mara remover for many years. The design can also be used for the Herbst appliance and the Mara appliance. Manufactured with a rotating swivel head along with an extended placement pin on one end and custom angled rotating beak on the other end. For removal simply place the swivel rotating pin through the top of the Herbst or Mara appliance or the crown. (Some cases a hole is needed to be drilled through the crown or utilize a prescription vent hole). The lower is used like a band remover and will grab the gingival section of the appliance and with a simple squeeze should remove the appliance.

• Aids to the removal of crowns, Herbst or Mara appliances.
• One beak has a rotating swivel head with an extended pin.
• The lower custom beak is manufactured with a hardened steel insert to eliminate slippage during use and extend the sharpness for the cutting edge.
• Position the extended pin through the crown Mara or Herbst appliance and on the tooth surface. Position the lower beak on the gingival margin of the appliance and then squeeze to remove.
• The length of this band remover offers easy access in both the anterior and posterior region.
• The length also offers excellent visibility during use.
• The lower beak is on the sides and ground down to a small flat tip.
• The taper on the sides allows the operator to remove bands by using the side of the instrument when cheek expansion is limited.
