Flush Cut and Hold Distal End Cutter (Lap Joint)

Manufactured on a lap joint forging and measures approximately ½" shorter than the traditional Orthopli Box joint. The joint operates without washers or shims creating a smooth operation during use. Designed to cut and hold an arch wire flush to the buccal tubes leaving no protrusions which will irritate the patient. The safety holding spring will hold and secure the cut piece of wire from flying into the patient's tissue.

• Lap Joint instruments measure approximately 1/2" shorter than the traditional Orthopli box joint.
• Both beaks are manufactured with a hardened steel insert for ease during cutting and also extends the sharpness of the cutting edge.
• The cutting edge hits against a flat surface which reduces stress and vibration of the arch wire during cutting, which provides more comfort to the patient.
• The cutting edge cuts flush to the buccal tube leaving no protrusions of wire to irritate the patient.
• A soldered stainless steel spring is located above the cutting edge and holds the cut piece of wire.
• Recommended for braided wire, twist wire, round and rectangular wire up to .025" diameter or .021" to .028" rectangular.
