Manufactured on a lap joint forging and measures approximately ½" shorter than the traditional Orthopli Box joint. The joint operates without washers or shims creating a smooth operation during use. Both beaks are thinned down to their finest point, along with a flat on flat working surface. Beaks are constructed with hardened inserts to eliminate slippage during use. The beaks thickness measures .060" (1.5 mm) along with radiuses edges to eliminate nicking of the arch wire.
- Manufactured on a lap joint forging without washers, shims, or screws to allow a smooth operation.
- Lap Joint instruments measure approximately 1/2" shorter than the traditional Orthopli box joint.
- The inside portion of the beak is a flat on flat surface measuring .060" thick.
- Hardened inserts are placed at the tip that helps eliminate slippage during use and increase the strength of the instrument.
- Recommended for torquing rectangular arch wire up to .021" x .028".
- Beaks open in a parallel holding action to help secure the arch wire during operation.
- Edges of the inside flat surfaces are beveled to eliminate nicking of the arch wire during torquing.
