Arch Forming Plier (Lap Joint)

Manufactured on a lap joint forging and measures approximately ½" shorter than the traditional Orthopli Box joint. The joint operates without washers or shims creating a smooth operation during use. Designed to form, contour, and reshape an arch wire on both round and rectangular wire. The gradual contour of the plier will not torque the arch wire during use. Recommended for a wire range from .012" to .040" and rectangular wire up to .021" x .028".

• The outside edges are beveled creating a smooth arch without nicking the wire.
• One side of the beak contains an upper arch that fits into a concave pocket which creates the arch.
• Capable of contouring an arch on round and rectangular wire ranging from .012" to .040".
• The plier measures 7.1mm wide along with a smooth inside working surface.
• Arch shape can be larger or smaller and this is determined by the amount of pressure applied during operation.
• Smooth inside beaks help eliminate torque in the wire when contouring the arch.
