Shear Distal End Cutter (Lap Joint Medium Handle)

Manufactured on a lap joint forging and measures approximately ½” shorter than the traditional Orthopli Box joint. The joint operates without washers or shims creating a smooth operation during use. It allows the doctor to cut the excess arch wire coming out of the molar buccal tube. Simultaneously, it will hold the cut piece of wire with its built in safety holding design, preventing the wire from flying into the tissue.   Orthopli Corporation newest handle size this lap joint medium handle size for doctors with a preference of a slimmer smaller handle. The medium handle and body along with a small tip maintains its strength for cutting arch wire up to .025” diameter and .021 x.028” rectangular archwire with little force. Assistant’s feel very comfortable using this end cutter because it fits nicely in their hand without a bulky feeling. Designed to cut and hold the excess wire extending out of the buccal tube. It will hold the cut pieces of wire with a built in safety hold design preventing the wire from flying into the tissue.
